Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart of Sitar Arts Center. Each week, more than 100 volunteers and partner organizations teach approximately 60 classes in visual art, dance, creative writing, drama, music, digital arts, and approximately 100 private music lessons.
Volunteers also assist the Center in data entry, mailings, and other administrative tasks, as well as offering pro-bono professional services such as legal, real estate, architectural, interior design, website design and photography.
Sitar Arts Center volunteers should have at least 3 years of experience in their artform, as well as a deep appreciation for the arts and a strong desire to share their gifts and talents with the children of Washington, DC.
