Sitar’s Documentaries at the Shakespeare Theatre

Sitar’s documentaries Life As A Collage and In the Path of My Father will screen at the Shakespeare Theatre in their Happenings Series” on Oct. 17th @ 6-7 pm. (Sitar Filmmakers — Forrest Penrod, Tokunbo Adedeinde, A. Lorraine Robinson (Sr. Director of Artistic Programs), and Lance Kramer (Meridian Hill Pictures) will participate in a 15 minute talk back following the two screenings.)

The Shakespeare Theatre will pair Life As A Collage and In the Path of My Father with Shakespeare’s production of Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins’ Everybody http://www.shakespearetheatre.org/events/everybody-19-20/. “It’s a show about someone who death has come for (time’s up). Before that person goes, they ask death if they can take someone with them and they revisit Love, Friendship, Kinship, etc. as characters and they all decline the offer. Thematically, it matches up against Life as a Collage.”
