Performance Series #3: Washington Performing Arts

Each semester, professional performing artists and groups visit Sitar’s Donald and Nancy L. deLaski Theater to perform for Sitar’s students, families and the community. Sponsored by many of our partner organizations such as the National Symphony Orchestra, DC Jazz Festival, and Washington Performing Arts, these performances offer an opportunity to experience a professional quality performance here at the Center.

Contradiction Dance Theatre presents: “Making Space : Taking Place :: Making Place : Taking Space”. This performance will focus on how we choose to share spaces and places with our community and ask questions like; how do we deal with challenging people – like bullies – in our everyday lives? The performance will include audience participation, so come ready to dance!  

All performances are free and open to the public.
