15th Anniversary Block Party
Join us on Saturday, April 25 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm to help celebrate our 15th year anniversary by coming to our Block Party outside our building at 1700 Kalorama Rd, NW. This is free, open to the public, and great for all ages! #Sitar15
The Block Party will include performances by Herman Burney Trio presented by the DC Jazz Festival, Young Playwrights’ Theater, Sitar’s Saints Band, dance performances, community art projects, face painting, chalk art, and ice cream.

Come celebrate the community that we serve and learn more about what Sitar Arts Center and other local organizations like Mary’s Center, Jubliee, and Meridian Hill Pictures have to offer. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere with great live music.
Early Childhood Arts Interactive Performance
In the morning, we will also have a special early childhood arts interactive performance for children up to age six. Come to Sitar’s deLaski Theater from 10:00 am to 10:45 am for The Beat Goes On – Drums, Music & Movement Fun, Stories & Ryhmes. Early Childhood Arts Specialist and drummer Kofi Dennis will lead your family on a wonderful musical journey incorporating drums, music, movement and stories. This is also free.
