The Maple Academy of Irish Dance – led by two national and international world champion dancers – is one of the Washington area’s premier schools of Irish dance. The school was honored to perform at the White House for U.S. President Bush and Irish Prime Minister Ahearn. Maple Academy students have also appeared at the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian, National Geographic, Wolf Trap, the Irish Embassy, and at numerous cultural events. Graduates have toured with Lord of the Dance throughout Europe, Canada, and the United States. Dancers from the Maple Academy have also seen competition success at the national and international level, in both group and solo dances. In this lively and colorful performance, you’ll enjoy traditional Irish dance sets – in both hard and soft shoe style — and music.
