Performance Series #2: Washington Improv Theater

Each semester, professional performing artists and groups visit Sitar’s Donald and Nancy L. deLaski Theater to perform for Sitar’s students, families and the community. Sponsored by many of our partner organizations such as the National Symphony Orchestra, DC Jazz Festival, and Washington Performing Arts, these performances offer an opportunity to experience a professional quality performance here at the Center.

Improv theater is made up on the spot before your eyes, based on your suggestions! Improvisers celebrate fun, playfulness, and positivity. They celebrate the ability to see failures as opportunities. They will need all kinds of suggestions from you, so start thinking of locations, types of people, emotions, and more (in this program you’ll find some suggestions to get you started).

All performances are free and open to the public.
