Music
Playing the drums in a rock band or singing the lead in a musical is a dream for many children. Music classes at Sitar Arts Center, including Musical Theater Workshop, Rock Band, Percussion Ensemble, Music Theory, Opera Workshop, Early Childhood Music, and over 100 private music instrument lessons, give students the opportunity to explore their creativity, build skills like teamwork and self-esteem, and develop their musical abilities. Sitar students also have the unique opportunity to attend world-class performances presented each semester by DC Jazz Festival, Washington Performing Arts, and the National Symphony Orchestra.
