Rob returns to Sitar Arts Center after 8 years in Portland, OR working as Director of Community Engagement for an arts nonprofit called PHAME, serving adults who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities. Beginning as a Sitar volunteer percussion ensemble teacher, from 2004 – 2014 Rob served as Director of Students and Outreach at Sitar. Now the Director of Community Education at Sitar, Rob is excited to get back to work with our young artists!
On the side as an autodidact artist, Rob has designed and directed music and sound for theater and video. He is also a drummer, composing musician, and accomplished recording artist, as well as an active multi-media visual artist, Rob is never bored. As a proud parent, Rob is an avid supporter of out-of-school time activities and pathways to the arts and believes access to the arts is an inherent right for all.
